VOLLMOND KAYS'

DIY NUT & SEED BUTTER

I don't feel like writing a novel about nut butter, the moon is in Gemini, but I want to get to the point. Most of the nut-butters in the market have added ingredients like partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (aka artificial trans-fat), palm oil, added sugars, and sometimes milk. I know, wtf. So, making your nut butter can not only be rewarding but a safer and healthier alternative that can save you some money. You can make cashew, almond, peanut, tahini (sesame seeds), pumpkin, and even sunflower seed butter. I also find if you want a creamy consistency, soak the nuts overnight, or if you're like me and forget, boil some water, and soak the nuts from 10-30 minutes.
